Lightning U13 Boys win Indy Tourney
The Portage Soccer Club U-13 Boys traveled to the Nightmare at the Rock in Center
Grove, Indiana October 13-14. In the preliminary round on Saturday PSC went
2-0 defeating host Center Grove United 4-0 in the opener and the Bloomington
Cutters 3-1 in the afternoon tilt. On Sunday morning the PSC team faced the
Starsoccer Club out of Cincinnati in what would be a preview of the Finals later
in the day. Both teams battled to a hard fought 1-1 draw. In the Finals, it
was another nail biter between the two clubs. After trading goals in the 1st
half, PSC regrouped at half time and came out strong in the 2nd half scoring
twice to lift themselves to a 3-1 win and champions of the Nightmare at the
Rock. Congratulations to the boys and their coaches!
