Midland Invitational Champions!
The Portage lightning U 14 boys team went to the Midland Invitational Tournament on May 9 - 10 2008 to play four intense games of soccer and to bring home the Championship trophy. After a rough start and losing to a good South Lyons team the first game. Portage out shot them 3-1 and combined with excellent play by the south Lyons keeper that kept them in the game, to record the loss for Portage. Not to be denied their ultimate goal, the boys game back with a vengeance and played outstanding soccer as a team, found the back of the net and defeated the remaining three teams with a net 8-0 goal differential to take home the trophy !!

Congratulations Nightmare On The Rock Finalists!
The Portage Lightning U14 boys played in the Nightmare On The Rock Tournament on October 13 & 14. After playing three very physical games and playing through various injuries, the boys made all the way to the finals, where they were defeated by the FT Strikers 3-1.
